SSSSPOTY finalist Molly Lynch joins the cast of Here We Are at the National

Molly Lynch, a reserve finalist in the 2014 Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year competition, has been confirmed for the cast of the upcoming National Theatre production of Sondheim's last musical, Here We Are.
Cork-born Molly, who graduated from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, was also a guest last year at the Society-supported cabaret Sondheim: Not a Birthday Goes By at Upstairs at the Gatehouse, hosted by Pacific Overtures star Joaquin Pedro Valdes, and was one of the featured artists at The Stephen Sondheim Society Presents... cabaret at the Phoenix Artist Club back in 2018. On stage, Molly played the role of Petra in Paul Kerryson's acclaimed A Little Night Music at the Buxton International Festival, and was Ensembe/Cover Johanna in Lonnie Price's spectacular Sweeney Todd at the Coliseum/English National Opera.

Also joining Here We Are is Society friend Alastair Brookshaw, who featured in the line up at Alex Young & Friends, also at Upstairs at the Gatehouse recently, and gave us memorable performances as George in Sunday in the Park with George at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford in 2023, the Baker in Into The Woods at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast, in 2022, and Frederick Egerman in the Watermill production of A Little Night Music in 2017. Alastair was also Cover Beadle in that unforgettable ENO Sweeney Todd.
