Into the Woods with the Sondheim Society...
This coming Sunday afternoon, The Stephen Sondheim Society will be hosting a Q&A with the cast and creatives of Tim McArthur's spellbinding – and modernised! – production of Into The Woods at The Cockpit Theatre, Marylebone.
Tim – and Musical Director Aaron Clingham – have put a unique spin on Woods, uniting a cast of characters you'd more commonly find on trashy TV: Jack's Mother has staggered into the woods straight from The Jeremy Kyle Show, the Princes are Made in Chelsea, and Cinderella's step-family have stepped out of The Only Way is Essex (or given the show's Germanic roots, perhaps the Only Way is Essen?! Sorry...)
The show was a five-star success at All Star Productions' base in Walthamstow, and now it's bigger – and in the round – so do try to catch it before it's gone. It's off in just under two weeks, so be quick.
If you join us for the matinee on Sunday 17th June (starts at 3:30 pm), you are more than welcome to hang around for a free post-show Q&A. Please remain seated if you want to ask the cast and crew any questions.
Tickets are available here for £24 (£20 concs.) but members of The Stephen Sondheim Society can enjoy a discount of £6 per ticket – check Society emails for details.
